This close runs
from the High Street at the top, down to Jeffrey Street, making it is
a handy wee short cut for Waverley Station.
It
is also home to CarrubbersCafe, the
quirky doily-clad Forsyth's
Edwardian Tearoom
and Trinity College Apse, the only
surviving part of Trinity College Church founded in 1460 (see
Gone but Not Forgotten).
